My work primarily focuses on Frankfurt School critical social theory, and I have written on many philosophers associated with this tradition, including Nancy Fraser, Theodor Adorno, and Walter Benjamin. In my MPhil thesis, I critically compared different formulations of reification theory within Critical Theory, tracing its evolution from Lukács to Habermas to Honneth, and argued for an updated understanding of the concept.
I also have broader interests in social and political philosophy, including Hegel's and Marx's political philosophies, democratic theory, and feminist political theory. Additionally, I have previously worked on and continue to maintain an interest in phenomenology and hermeneutics.
Before joining Northwestern, I earned a BA in Philosophy and History from the University of Sussex and an MPhil in Political Theory from the University of Oxford.
