Some Post-graduation Plans of Our Majors and Minors
Nick H Corvino (Honors with Distinction in Philosophy)
- Nick has received a grant from the Center for Effective Altruism to work on a series of special projects in Los Angeles. After that, Nick plans to pursue a Philosophy PhD, where Nick will study applied ethics and emerging technology.
Julia Leonardis (Honors in Philosophy)
- After graduation, Julia will be working with IBM as an Associate Consultant with a focus in Finance & Supply Chain for the Public Sector.
Olive Liu (Honors with Distinction in Philosophy, Hull Award for Best Thesis, Lula A Peterson Award for Excellent Citizenship)
- Olive is currently a NUPIP finalist and will be working in the non-profit sector in Chicago. In addition, they are also a part of the 2022-23 IRT cohort, which is a program that recruits underrepresented students and counsels them to apply to graduate programs. Through this program, Olive will hopefully be attending graduate school after next year for either Philosophy or Ethnic Studies.
Jacob Wright (Honors in Philosophy)
- After graduation, Jacob will be moving to Manhattan to work as an analyst within Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Division.
Max Chapin (Honors with Distinction in Philosophy)
- Max is taking a gap year to focus on writing fiction before applying to graduate philosophy programs.
Jonic Zhehao Zhu
- After graduation, Jonic interned with Zillow as a Product Manager. He is pursuing an M.S. in Information Management at the University of Washington.
Justin Jasperse (Honors with Distinction, Stephen Toulmin Prize for highest overall achievement in the Philosophy Major)
- Justin's plans after graduation are to return home (Minnesota) to live with his parents, while also working full-time to save money to support himself when he eventually enrolls in a PhD program. He has been accepted to the 2022 IRT (Institute for Recruitment of Teachers) cohort for the upcoming year to obtain helpful assistance with researching and applying to graduate programs.
