BTAA Traveling Scholar Program
The Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) Traveling Scholar Program entitles Northwestern students to take anywhere from one course to a full schedule of courses tuition-free at participating institutions for up to three quarters (or two semesters) of their graduate careers. A number of our students make use of single advanced language courses or topical seminars in philosophy or other related subjects at the University of Chicago, but full-time quarter or semester study at other institutions is possible if it fits a student’s program of study.
Registration in such courses must be approved by both the student's program advisor and the course professor. Students are strongly encouraged to begin the application and registration process at least six weeks before the beginning of the term in which they wish to register.
