A Message from the Chair
Dear Alumni and Friends,
This has been a very exciting year, full of new developments and initiatives. As you will read in this Newsletter, in addition to the outstanding achievements of our students and faculty, the department is growing even stronger by adding several colleagues to our ranks.
2022-23 Department Activities
The Consortium resumed in-person events this year, sponsoring several events here and elsewhere. Its annual workshop was held in April at DePaul on “Themes in Hegel.” This included talks from W. Clark Wolf (Marquette), Kevin Thompson (DePaul) and Ardis Collins (Loyola).

The Brady Program
The senior class community service project was devoted to creating closer connections between Northwestern students and Books and Breakfast, an organization devoted to providing a nutritious breakfast, homework assistance, and emotional care to students in Evanston public schools.
14th Annual PhilFEST
PhilFEST is the highlight of our undergraduate community’s life in which honors students present their research in 15-20 minute presentations followed by a public Q&A.
The Northwestern Prison Education Program (NPEP) was born of the selfless dream of NPEP director Jennifer Lackey, the Wayne and Elizabeth Jones Professor of Philosophy.
