Evan Dutmer (Ph.D. '19) is Senior Instructor in Ethics and Curriculum Leader in the Department of Leadership Education at Culver Academies. He is the author of Cicero's New Leadership: A Proto-Transformational Leadership Theory (Edward Elgar, 2026). He was a finalist for the 2025 David W. Concepción Prize in Philosophy Teaching (APA). He was the President of the Indiana Classical Conference in 2021-22 and was elected to the executive board of the North American Association for Philosophy and Education (NAAPE) for a three-year term (2025-2027). He also serves on the Dean's Advisory Council of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences of his undergraduate alma mater, Northern Illinois University.
