Gabriel Schat
Graduate Student
Gabriel is primarily interested in Political Philosophy. He is particularly interested in the tensions between ideal and scientific social theory and in the history and critique of Democracy. He is also interested in Aesthetics, especially as it pertains to political concerns such as ideology, patriarchy, and propaganda.
Before coming to Northwestern he received a BA from The University of Michigan and worked as solar installer, bouncer, line cook, dishwasher, commercial fisherman, and software QA analyst. In his free time he enjoys reading poetry, studying Russian and Latin, and boxing.
